2015-2017

DJ Moore signed with the University of Maryland Terrapins in February 2015, where he excelled remarkably, starting 35 out of 37 games. In his final year at Maryland, Moore set a school record with 80 receptions for 1,033 yards and 8 complete touchdowns. After the season, he was named in the First Team All-Big-Ten and the Big Ten Receiver of the Year. 

He completed his college career with 146 receptions, ranking him fifth in Maryland history, and 2,027 receiving yards, also making him the fifth player in Terrapin history to surpass the 2,000 mark. 

 

In December 2017, during his junior year, Moore announced his declaration for the NFL Draft. The following month, he was invited to the NFL Combine where he recorded the second-best vertical jump and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds.

2018-Present

On April 26, 2018, Moore was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round as the 24th overall pick and the first Wide Receiver to be selected. Moore finished his rookie season in Carolina with 55 receptions for 788 yards and two touchdowns. He was the Top Graded Wide Receiver in 2018 with a grade of 71.5 and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team, becoming the second Panthers receiver in history to claim this award. Moore finished his second year with 87 receptions for 1,175 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns and his third with 66 receptions for 1,193 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns. In 2021, the Panthers exercised the fifth-year option on Moore's contract and that season, he finished with 93 receptions for 1,157 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns.

Before the start of the 2022 season, Moore signed a three-year contract extension with the Panthers through the 2025 season. He finished that season with 63 receptions for 888 receiving yards and a career-high seven receiving touchdowns, breaking his three-year streak of 1,000-yard receiving seasons. Moore left the Panthers fourth in franchise history with 5,201 receiving yards.

In March of 2023, the Panthers agreed to trade Moore and the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, as well as several other draft picks, to the Chicago Bears. In Moore's first season in Chicago, he had 96 receptions for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns, all new career highs.

Just before training camp started in 2024, Moore and the Bears agreed to a four-year contract extension, the largest in franchise history. In addition, the deal made Moore the first receiver in NFL history to have the first 10 years of his career guaranteed. He finished his 2024-25 season with 98 receptions for 966 yards and six touchdowns.

2018-Forever

Moore was born on April 14, 1997 and grew up in Philadelphia. He met his wife Raven in 2018 and after dating for 6 years, the two were engaged. On November 27, 2019 DJ and Raven welcomed their little princess, Arielle Melody Moore, to the world and on July 15, 2023, his son Denniston Oliver "Bubba" Moore III was born. DJ and Raven were married on October 1, 2024, and are due with their third baby in Spring 2025, as first announced on Hard Knocks.
